Charlie King admits he’s scared of the gay dating scene

The reality TV star says “A lot of guys are very forward. I’m quite reserved.”

Personal trainer and The Only Way is Essex star Charlie King, who came out as gay in October 2014, talked on FUBAR Radio about his issues with dating in the gay world.

Charlie opened up to FUBAR Radio’s Stephen Leng and guest-cohost Talulah-Eve on about his first serious relationship coming to an end at the start of the year. “It took a long time to get there, and even to admit it was what I wanted. Just to connect with someone, I always thought I would never happen. Now it’s ended… I realised oh my god, I don’t have a clue about dating. The gay world scares me, I’m going to be honest. A lot of guys are very forward. I’m quite reserved.”

Charlie admitted he slid into Calum Scott’s DM’s: “I said ‘I’m sorry I didn’t get to speak to you tonight’. You’re looking very well! “When he said ‘have a good day tomorrow’, I thought oh he’s not interested. I don’t know”

In the same episode, trans model and guest co-host Talulah-Eve opens up about the difficulties trans people face when dating.
