As you might have guessed, we’re a little bit excited about the revival of A Chorus Line hitting the London Palladium this February. So excited, in fact, that we’ve managed to nab two tickets for a lucky winner to see the real thing, live on stage.
The story follows a group of people as they make their way through the audition process to appear in a production. We learn all about the characters through their all-singing, all-dancing rehearsals, until the curtain finally comes up ready for showtime. The role of imperious director Zach will be played by West End leading man and TV star John Partridge, (who we interviewed last week). John is best known for his role as Christian Clarke in EastEnders, and has appeared in numerous shows including Cats and The Drowsy Chaperone. Also starring, as Cassie, is Scarlett Strallen, who is currently appearing as Kathy in the West End production of Singin’ in the Rain, for which she received an Olivier Award nomination.
Michael Bennett’s production of A Chorus Line won nine Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama when it opened on Broadway in 1975 and went on to become the longest-running musical on Broadway for a while, achieving an astonishing 6137 performances. It features some of musical theatre’s best loved songs, including ‘One (Singular Sensation)’, ‘What I Did For Love’, and ‘Hope I Get It’.
To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to a performance of your choice (subject to availability), between Tuesday 5 and Monday 18 February 2013, (excluding Saturday and Sunday shows) you simply need to fill out the form below before 6pm on Saturday 2 February.
