Around 500 guests are expected to dine in style at more than 50 dinner parties across London, as part of the charity’s annual Supper Club event. Celebrity chef Angela Hartnett, who is the Supper Club Ambassador, is encouraging more hosts to be part of the unique gastronomic event; ‘I have been involved with Terrence Higgins Trust for several years now and it’s a cause that’s very important to me. That’s why I’m delighted to once again be the Ambassador for Terrence Higgins Trust’s wonderful event, ‘The Supper Club.’ The success of this event relies on the support and generosity of a range of exceptional restaurants, caterers and chefs – but we also need your help. If you and your friends want to get together to host a table at The Supper Club, please get in touch with my friends at Terrence Higgins Trust.’ Previous Supper Club hosts include Graham Norton. Hosts at this year’s event will each invite a group of guests to join their table. Guests will pay £155 to attend, with all proceeds going to Terrence Higgins Trust. This year, London’s top restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Gauthier Soho, Galvin La Chapelle and The Square will be supporting the event by donating dinner parties for tables of eight to twelve people. A number of party hosts will also be inviting guests to their homes and calling in top caterers including The Recipe and Ottolenghi to cook up a real storm for charity. If a fancy dinner doesn’t sound enough, then afterwards Supper Club guests will be chauffeur-driven to One Mayfair, where the evening will be rounded off with cocktails, DJ entertainment, and dancing at a star-studded after-party. With the help and generosity of supporters, the restaurants, caterers and sponsors, the Terrence Higgins Trust are hoping to raise in excess of £100,000 to support people living with HIV. Celebrity dinner hosts and guests at past events have included Yasmin le Bon, Ewan McGregor, Tracey Emin, Cilla Black, Graham Norton and Russell Tovey.
