So So Gay compiles its favourite tracks from 2012 so far into one handy playlist for your listening pleasure.
As reported last week, So So Gay is immensely proud to bring its readers the very best emerging artists. We know you all already have plenty of mainstream music on your MP3 players so we think it’s important to bring rising stars to your attention.
The first half of 2012 has been a particularly stellar six months in this regard. That’s why we felt it would be a great idea to compile all the noteworthy music we have discovered since January into one playlist for your enjoyment. We are therefore hugely pleased to present Sound of 2012: Part 1.
As you will hear, it’s an eclectic mix of musical styles – deliberately. We know our readers are a diverse crowd and that diversity is reflected in the inclusive bag of genres on the playlist, from electronica to piano-driven melancholy to Shakespearean sonnets.
