Running off the back of the global success of ‘Shit Girls Say to Gay Guys’, GMFA the gay men’s health charity, has created a video showing the stupid things that gay guys have said about HIV.
It’s not that no-one discusses HIV and AIDS anymore – it’s that it has become a subject which people seem to be bored of hearing about. This is in spite of new statistics which seem to come out every month saying that more people are diagnosed as being positive all the time. In order to counteract this, charities need to constantly change their approach in how they get the LGBT community to interact with them, so appealing to social media phenomena is definitely a way to get noticed. Using lines that more than one of us have heard uttered, or said ourselves in public and the bedroom, GMFA have put together a film to show just how stupid we can be with our own sexual health.
Following in the footsteps of Nicola Foti, the charity has created their video ‘Shit Gay Guys Say About HIV’ and published it on YouTube.
