Hertz launch canal boat rental in time for Amsterdam Pride

While the world’s attention is on London, Amsterdam is gearing up for one of the most fun Gay Pride events of the year this weekend. If Ben Ainslie and the other Olympic sailors have got you in the mood to get on to the water, then Amsterdam, with its collection of famous canals, is the perfect place to do it.

Hertz, the famous car rental company, have branched out to canal boat rental – just in time for Pride. They are offering everything from gondolas and taxi boats, through to luxury motorboats and large boats that can hold up to 35 – perfect for your Pride party. They give customers who are feeling adventurous the option of trying their hand as skipper, but those who are simply after some relaxation can opt for an experienced captain and a private chef.

Priced at hourly rates from just €5 per person or €150 per boat, the crafts are the perfect way to see the sights of the city and can be booked at http://www.hertz-rentaboat.nl. As a special addition to the fleet, a special yellow Hertz Canal Cruiser is available for hire from €7 per person and can take as many as 20 people, plus a skipper. The Hertz Canal Cruiser is located at the quay of Restaurant Liefde, Bilderdijkpark in Amsterdam.

And with the annual canal parade taking place on 4 August – what better time to get onto the water and see Amsterdam in style.
