Male poets pose naked for diabetes charity calendar

Type 1 diabetes is increasing by 4% each year. Of the 350,000 people affected by this form of the illness, 25,000 are children. These figures are undoubtedly a stark reminder of the need for intensive research in the quest to find a possible cure. That is where the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation comes in. The charity works tirelessly and in a variety of ways to this end.

Cue ‘The Naked Muse’, a fundraising calendar produced by twelve different female photographers. Each month of the year is represented by a different naked male poet. There is someone for all tastes in the calendar, from smooth twink to furry cub to silver fox. Each photograph is accompanied by a female-written poem on the subject of ‘the male muse’. The poems provided the inspiration for the photo shoots, most of which took place in Cumbria. Beautiful photography, naked men, a fantastic cause.

You can get your copy of ‘The Naked Muse’ calendar for £14.99 here. Further information on the work of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation can be found on their website.
