Dear supporter,
We are looking for participants who have experienced a homophobic hate crime to take part in an important Europe wide project.
Stonewall are partners in the new project being run by the Danish Institute of Human Rights. The project is funded by the European Commission and is looking into homophobic hate crimes in 9 EU capitals – Bucharest, Riga, London, Paris, Berlin, Dublin, Lisbon, Stockholm and Copenhagen. The project aims to share knowledge about different experiences and responses to homophobic crime across Europe. This is so that other EU countries, particularly in Eastern Europe, can improve their work to tackle hate crimes.
As part of the project, our colleagues from the DIHR want to hold a focus group with people who have experienced homophobic hate crimes and incidents in London, whether abuse, violence or otherwise.
We are looking for participants in the focus group, which will be held at Stonewall’s offices on 10 February between 18.00 and 20.00. The focus groups will not be recorded and participants will not be identifiable in any subsequent reports.
If you would like to participate in the focus groups and contribute to this exciting EU-wide project, email simon.mcnorton@stonewall.org.uk
We will assign places to ensure the focus groups are as mixed as possible.
